Hanging out in time and space
For their first solo-exhibition Hanging out in time and space, the Authentic Boys created a composition of several video- and photoworks. The slightly existentialist title connects the characters of the presented films; all defining themselves by the way they, often explicitly, get in contact with their environment. The statue-like polyester chicken on the poster, photographed at a gas station, serves as a symbol for the artificially created urban space, in which culture and nature, freedom and captivity, meaning and platitude get into a dialogue.
Hanging out in time and space was presented in Theaterdiscounter, Berlin (D), La Fabbrica, Locarno (CH), Podium, Oslo (N), Tou Scene, Stavanger (N) and Het Wilde Weten, Rotterdam (NL).
